Spettacolo nella Grande Nube di Magellano

Questa foto mostra la barriera cosmica delle nebulose NGC 2020 e 2014, in basso a destra. L’ammasso NGC 2040 e le nebulose a emissione blu OIII, NGC 2035, 2032 e 2030. Oltre alle nebulose più deboli NGC 2011 e DEM 240. L’intera area è ricca di emissioni di idrogeno ionizzato e ossigeno III, e si trova nella Grande Nube di Magellano, nella costellazione del Dorado. Questa zona dista circa 160.000 anni luce dalla Via Lattea.

Dettagli tecnici di ripresa:

  • The image was taken with an iDK 20″ telescope and FLI Proline 16803 Camera.
  • It’s five and a half hours of 10-minute shots of Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen III.
  • Processed with Pixinsight and Photoshop.
  • The image is made with the images taken at the end of November from Namibia.
