Nebulosa California

La Nebulosa California è una nebulosa ad emissione visibile nella costellazione del Perseo. Fu scoperta da Edward Emerson Barnard nel 1884 ed è stata battezzata così perché la sua forma, ritratta nelle fotografie a lunga esposizione, ricorda lo Stato statunitense della California. Dista da noi circa 1000 anni luce
Questa immagine è il risultato di 60 esposizioni da 5 minuti a ISO 3200 (5 ore di esposizione totale) con l’utilizzo di una fotocamera mirrorless Canon EOS Ra e un telescopio Radian Raptor 61. Ogni esposizione è stata catturata dal mio cortile cittadino (scala di Bortle 7), utilizzando il Radian Triad Ultra Filter per aiutare a filtrare l’inquinamento luminoso.
Ho usato una montatura Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro per compensare il movimento apparente del cielo notturno e ho approfittato dell’autoguida e del dithering.

This image includes 60 x 5-minute exposures at ISO 3200 (5 hours total exposure) using a Canon EOS Ra mirrorless camera, and a Radian Raptor 61 telescope. Each exposure was captured from my Bortle Scale Class 7 backyard in the city, using the Radian Triad Ultra Filter to help ignore the light pollution.
I used a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro Mount to track the apparent movement of the night sky, and took advantage of autoguiding and dithering along the way.
