The Iris Nebula (also known as NGC 7023 and Caldwell 4) is a bright reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus.
The main responsible for its illumination is a seventh magnitude star, cataloged as HD 200775, which would be enveloped by the nebula, together with other less bright stars born from its dust and which form the open cluster. Its distance is estimated at around 1400 light years.
